NEUES HEIM |
A lifetime
75 years in 3 minutes – A story of growing up in post-war barracks, the blooming of first love, building a family, and growing old with dignity.
For the anniversary film of the housing cooperative Neues Heim, we developed a comprehensive end-to-end production concept covering all creative and organizational stages. Starting from the initial story idea, we crafted a "golden thread" that carries the film both narratively and visually. In parallel, we composed and produced a bespoke musical score, recorded in collaboration with the Berlin Girls' Choir, adding a profound layer of emotional depth to the piece.
This period-piece project spanned several months of intensive pre- and post-production. Over six shooting days, we filmed at three carefully selected locations: an open-air museum near Hamburg, a film studio near Böblingen, and a private residence in Bietigheim. Each set was designed with meticulous attention to detail to authentically recreate the passing decades. Through precise direction, hand-picked costume and production design, and elaborate practical makeup, the protagonist’s lifelong journey is told with compelling realism.
A special highlight marks the film’s conclusion: the client's own employees appear as guests in the protagonist's life, providing a unifying touch that emotionally bridges the gap between past and present.
